About Linden Hale
Linden Hale is a performing pianist, composer and producer, based in Northampton England. He works predominantly in the world of jazz, funk, soul and disco music with a retro-futurist synth-based twist, elements of minimalism and an inclination towards the spiritual. Alongside his creative career, he has also been a music teacher for many years, working in a further education college but also offering freelance piano/music theory tuition.
He says: "I came to Goldsmiths to challenge myself to embrace new ways of thinking about music and myself as an artist, to meet new musicians and to find a new outlet for my creativity. This major project pushed me way outside my comfort zone (piano-based instrumental composition) into embracing lyric-writing, vocal performance and production for the first time ever. It has been a really crazy journey, especially given the COVID-19 situation... but I'm glad to have finally reached the finishing line and so grateful that I've shared this 2-year trip with some truly amazing musicians!"
