In his final degree show, MMus (Performance and Related Studies) student Swarnavo Datta blends electronic music elements within an acoustic post-jazz performance.
Swarnavo Datta is a Post-Jazz drummer from India who believes in building sonic narratives through his performances. His performance will capture the essence of his myriad musical influences, weaving together jazz, funk, improvised electronic rhythms, and nuances of Indian Classical music. Primarily showcasing a repertoire of Amyt Datta’s compositions, blending electronic music elements within an acoustic post-jazz performance.
His performance will feature Agneesh Dutta and Joel Dunning on guitar, Jamie Benzies on bass, Olek Nixon on bass synth and electronics, Yazmin Faraj on Vocals and Boudhayan Nag on spoken words.
