About Richard Beet

Trained as a musician and sound engineer in Leeds, I played and wrote in bands as well as by myself; during my time at college I enjoyed collaborating with other creatives - producing a live session recording in Leeds Art Gallery for example, or soundtracking a skate video. After I graduated however, I spent some years outside of making any art entirely until a couple of years ago when I moved to London and decided to enrol at Goldsmiths to re-skill and refresh my sound engineering experience. Although, as well as overseeing recording sessions at Goldsmiths Music Studios and recording and mixing my own material, I've begun to practice sound-making in a variety of ways, incorporating written word, performed narrative and video; music and sound is now not quite is own exclusive medium to me, but is rather a junction to multiple creative possibilities.
