About Robert Murray Jamieson
Robert Murray Jamieson was a musician in the Royal Australian Navy Band for seven years, leaving to complete a BMus in Performance (Improvisation) at the Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne University). He worked as sole in-house composer at Fremantle Television for eight years, before leaving to the score television series The Secret Life of Us for Southern Star/Endemol.
He has composed score and sound design for several documentaries, short films, interactive installations and a feature film for which he won Best Score at both the Oxford and Manchester International Film Festivals.
In between times he’s beaten the crap out of rubbish bins as a member of STOMP, played hundreds of techno, jazz and psych-rock gigs at pubs, clubs and festivals all over Australia, taught GCSE and A Level Music in Istanbul and jammed with cult leader David Koresh while holidaying in Texas.
Murray completed his MMus in Sonic Arts at Goldsmiths, London in October, 2020.
